ARCHITECTURE+firm (The Maze Runner)

The Maze Runner was realesed on 19 September 2014, an American dystopian science fiction action thriller film directed by Wes Ball, based on Fox purchased the film rights to the James Dashner's 2009 novel.

The story is began with a group of people that sent to a glade which everyone were sent by an elevator box once every month with no memory of their past and even their name. The glade is surrounded by a big wall of concrete, and it was a maze outside the wall with a lot of Grievers. All of these was created by the organization W.I.C.K.E.D, which is an acronym for 'World in Catastrophe: Killzone Experiment

Department'. Those people whom sent to there called glader, they have to try to stay alive as well as 'solve' the Maze by running through it as fast as they can before the wall is close. They have to find an exit to escape from there.

Until the main-character, Thomas, sent to there, he want to become one of the runner that need to find the exist inside the maze. After Thomas went through the maze, he proposes the wall of Maze aren't random and it is a code to lead them to exist.

At the end, he brought some of the graders who want to exist, they tried to figure out the way which are better than being stuck in the Glade. When they succeed, they only find out themself been doing experiment that conducted by W.I.C.K.E.D. After that, they are 'rescued' by a group of people and brought to a safe haven while being told about 'the Flare'.

The Maze and the Glade in the middle

For my personal view to this movie, I feel that it's story background is too real and too similar to our life, also a story that reflect to the social or the entire world. All the setting are very too real and meaningful. At the beginning, we just born, we know nothing like those people who just sent to the glade and all their memories were gone. At here, we did meet a lot of people and friends and learn something from them. It is a comfort and peace place for living since we are protected by our parent (In the movie-there are surrounded by a mile-high wall of conrete) to prevent all the things outside that will harm us. So, there must have a border line that they will told us can't go over it. Example like, stock market, forex, business or something else. Exactly, all of these is reflected by the mile-high wall of concrete.

I know that parent don't allow us to touch one of that is because those fields maybe is not under their knownledge (maze), they unable to help us at all and also the risk, or something that will harm us. Here, movie had presented it by the grievers which are described as monsters of metal and flesh. Once attacked by ''them'', people will suffer at finance problem? stress? suicide?or more.

But, there also will be a group of fearless people, ignore all the people's persuade or nagging behind, dare to cross over the border (concrete wall) to find a way out for achieve success. For surely, it is still some people may failed inside due to energy or fear. In another way, for other people still will believe that just live and stay in this comfort zone is enough for their life.

I like the character(Thomas) and the sub-character(Mingho) so much, they are the leaders that dare to bring people out from the glade and the maze. They are just confidence

and trust each other to find a correct way to go out, and never forget those people follow them at behind, ensure they are safe. Although they are still feeling strage to each other, but still willing to sacrifice himself to save them. But for today, how many people still willing to become a responsible leader, dare to bring people go and achieve with you, non-selfish to share the rewards together. After watched this movie, I also did question myself everytime, which kind of people I want to be, stay in comfort zone or the runner?

At last, life still hard and challenge. Even if we suceess come out from this ''maze'', there will be another challenge is waiting for us . Life and challenge can be be tough, but our determine and self-confidence can't be lost.
